Does the airport have a Lost and Found Department?

Yes, Joplin Regional Airport has a Lost and Found Department located in the Administrative Offices located on the 2nd floor of the passenger terminal for items that are left in the terminal. For items left on the airplane you would need to contact the Ticket Counter.

I am traveling with children, do my children need to have a photo ID or their birth certificate to travel?

All passengers who are 18 years of age and older must present a government issued photo ID. If your children are less than 18 years of age they will not need to have a photo ID or birth certificate to travel within the continental United States. Beginning October 1, 2021 you will be required to have a passport or REAL ID to board federally regulated domestic flights.

Can I park along the curb and/or in the driveway in front of the terminal building?

Federal security regulations forbid leaving your vehicle in the driveway in front of the terminal building. Vehicles left unattended are subject to ticketing and towing. Free parking is available in the lot directly across from the terminal building.

Is there an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) located at the airport?

Yes, there is an ATM machine located in the Baggage Claim area of the Joplin Regional Airport.

I have some foreign currency I would like to exchange for U.S. dollars. Can I do this at the airport?

No, the Joplin Regional Airport does not have a foreign currency exchange. Try contacting the banking establishments in the Joplin area and inquire if they exchange foreign currency.

Does Joplin Regional Airport have Wireless Internet?

Free wireless internet is available throughout the passenger terminal located at 7331 N Highway 43. Anyone using a laptop computer or other device equipped with a standard wireless internet LAN card can access our wireless service.

Where can I find out more about the airport?

The Joplin Regional Airport Administration offices are open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The phone number is 417-623-0262 Ext. 5.

Is there a restaurant located at the airport?

Joplin Regional Airport currently does not have a restaurant but we do have a snack vending area. There are several restaurants within a two mile radius of the airport.

Who do I call to ship an Animal/Pet?

Contact American Airlines Reservations at 800-433-7300 and tell them you are interested in information for shipping your animal/pet through May 31, 2021. Beginning June 1, 2021, contact United Reservations at 1-877-858-3876.

My luggage was not at my destination. Who do I call?

Contact American Airlines to file a Lost Luggage Claim at 800-535-5225. Contact United to file a Lost Luggage Claim at 1-877-858-3876.

I use a motorized wheelchair, can I take this on the plane with me?

The Joplin Regional Airport is totally handicap accessible. We have Boarding Bridges to the airplane and wheelchairs are available. Notify your airline representative when making your reservation that you will need assistance getting to and from the airplane. Motorized wheelchairs can be placed in the luggage compartment.

How much does it cost to park my vehicle at the airport?

Joplin Regional Airport is one of the few airports in the four state region that still has totally free parking.

What Airline flies into Joplin?

Joplin is served by United Airlines with daily nonstop flights to and from Joplin to Denver (DEN), Chicago, ORD and Houston (IAH). To make a reservation or flight status information please call 1-800-864-8331
